While there are lot’s more people behind the scenes who have helped make this business possible, and there will likely be more to add to this list soon. Right now, it’s Lea and I. Feel free to reach out and let us answer any questions you might have.
Founder, Speaker, Author
Brian Fretwell is the founder of Finding the FIRES, the world’s first Emotional Intelligence “Gym,” where people come together to practice their people skills with members from around the world. He believes, just like you can’t finish a marathon by reading about running, improving your ability to listen, ask questions, and manage emotions in ourselves and others takes practice.
Brian has spent the last twenty years teaching, coaching, and speaking on Leadership, Culture Change, and Personal Development. He’s run Emotional Intelligence workshops in mining camps in the Outback of Australia and the Arctic Circle in Northern Canada, he’s taught leadership on oil drilling pads and the Gettysburg Battlefield, and he’s delivered keynotes everywhere from Istanbul, Turkey to inside his home office – exactly 35 steps from the kitchen.
He is the author of the book “Experts of Our Potential” – a book focused on changing how we view our own value. His Tedx Talk “What a Fifteen Year Old Meth Addict Taught Me About Leadership” has been seen by over 2.3 million people around the world.
You can find him on social media sharing analogies and inspiration, or you can even sign up for a free Emotional Intelligence workshop on his Finding the FIRES website.
He lives in Boise with his Wwife, Jamie, who just happens to be a Transpersonal Counselor. They spend their time taking walks and doing behavioral experiments on their dog Hank.

As Chief Operating Officer at Finding the FIRES, Lea is responsible for managing its ever-changing daily business operations and ensuring the vision of the company is held together in a neat and tidy container. Her accomplished twenty-year history prior to joining the FTF team has spanned the entrepreneurial, management, sales and teaching/training realms.
Lea’s many years as culture leader, employee engagement strategist and professional development trainer have helped her to help others find their own passions and internal fires in the workplace. She’s been a leader in bringing her company to earn the Top 50 Most Engaged Workplaces ranking three years in a row, and she’s been bringing her creative vision and resourcefulness to work that uplifts and inspires others ever since.
With a background in developing curriculum and trainings, building membership programs, coordinating business processes, and serving thousands of clients in the meantime, Lea is in her professional and energetic “sweet spot” in her role with Finding the FIRES.
When she’s not doing FIRES-y things, Lea immerses herself in learning more about the Universe, upgrading herself through self-development, and planning her next visit with her college-age daughters. She enjoys hiking and exploring with her husband, Joe, in Boise, Idaho.
